the country. They are looking for a motivated individual to work
with our engineering teams providing services to their diverse
nationwide clientele.
Job location can be either: Superior, Wisconsin or Pensacola,
Florida
On-Board start date June 01, 2025 (or sooner)
140K - 150K (negotiable DOE) excellent benefits, relocation

We are searching for a full-time Marine Structural Engineer, with
(6) six - (8) eight years of experience and strong leadership
skills to join our Marine team. The candidate will work from the
Superior, WI or Pensacola, FL office. This position is not remote
and will require regular in-office work hours. The qualified
candidate will be responsible for leading the assessment, planning
and execution of marine and coastal structural designs on a wide
range of projects including new construction, additions, and
modifications to existing structures. Regions of work include Great
Lakes Ports, River Loading and Unloading Terminals, and Eastern and
Gulf Region Ports. Additionally, the candidate will assist the
department manager with the oversight, development and guidance of
less experienced engineers and technicians.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent written and oral
communication skills and have impeccable follow-through while
taking ownership in each project assigned. Travel and field work
may be required to complete projects. The successful candidate must
have experience in serving the engineering needs of clients by
providing exceptional professional service. They should be
passionate about their work, enjoy variety and like problem
solving. This candidate should be team oriented, honest and have a
helpful disposition with a positive "can-do" attitude.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
6 - 8+ years solid design experience of marine structures and
related engineering projects
Competent in the design of structural components and systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter that is deadline driven
Excellent leadership skills
Flexible to support project driven timelines and implementation
Enjoys an ever changing, fast paced work environment
Valid driver's license
Preferred Additional Qualifications and Experience:
Ability to prepare construction and engineering cost estimates.
Skilled in the design of steel, wood/timber, precast, concrete, and
composite marine structures.
Knowledge of dock, pier, wharf, and marine pile design a plus.
Working knowledge of DEEPEX, Shoring Suite, Auto Cad, Auto desk
Revit Structure, Solidworks, Microsoft Project, etc.
Familiar with marine mooring, berthing and fender system
components.
Familiar with Bridge/Dam Inspection. Certification a plus but not
required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent company at project related meetings with clients during
all phases of design and construction.
Manage projects and staff to meet critical deadlines and
engineering budgets.
Perform detailed engineering calculations utilizing codes,
engineering software, spreadsheets, etc.
Lead and manage projects from conception to completion.
Review calculations and other engineering works completed by
supporting staff to ensure proper design, for accuracy and
completeness.
Coordinate and integrate work of sub-consultants into construction
documents on multi-disciplined projects.
Assist in the management, oversight, development and guidance of
less experienced engineers and support staff.
Creatively develop multiple solutions to problems encountered
during all phases of design and construction.
Author well-written and well-organized technical reports and
letters.
Review contractor submittals during construction for conformance to
construction document requirements.
Assist with estimating and writing proposals.
